Press release – Second Session of the ERO Board in 2025
On 28.03.2025, the Board of the Energy Regulatory Office held its second session for this year. In this session, the ERO Board reviewed and approved the Annual Thermal Energy Balance for DH Termokos for 2025 and the Annual Thermal Energy Balance for DH Gjakova for 2025. During this session, the following documents were also reviewed and approved: Ten-year Development Plan for Transmission Network, Ten-year Development Plan for Distribution Network, Five-year Development Plan for Transmission Network, Five-year Development Plan for Distribution Network, as well as the Market Rules Procedure for the Pre-qualification of the Balancing Service Provider. The proposal for the opening of the tender procedure for the selection of the Supplier of Last Resort was also approved.
In this session, the Board approved the request of "Statkraft Markets GMbH Branch in Kosovo" for licensing the activity of wholesale supply of electricity.
Regarding the development of renewable energy sources, during this session, the Board reviewed the request of “LURN” LLC for the issuance of an authorization for generation of electricity from solar/photovoltaic panels, and approved 7 requests from legal entities and 21 requests from natural persons for obtaining authorizations for self-consumption with a total installed capacity of 418.8 kWh.
In this session, customer complaints were also reviewed and the relevant decisions were made.
Part of the Board's review was also the ERO Annual Report for 2024 and other issues related to the functioning of the Energy Regulatory Office.
Regarding the tariff review process, no points related to this issue were addressed during this session, as the deadline for submitting comments is still open and will close today at 16:00. ERO will keep the broad public informed of all ongoing developments, aiming for a transparent and open tariff review process.
