Understanding the electricity bill

ERO, based on the Law on Energy Regulator has the competence to set tariffs for all household customers. Based on the current tariff structure, household customers belong to tariff group 5 (4/02) and 6 (4/01).

The bill issued by your supplier must accurately determine the total monthly consumption as well as the tariff time when the consumption was made, i.e the high tariff and the low tariff, and the same has to be billed based on the price which was approved by ERO .

In the structure of retail electricity tariffs for customers with universal service of supply, it is determined that the high tariff is applied from 07: 00h - 22: 00h during the period October 1 to March 31, whereas from 08: 00h - 23: 00h during the period April 1 to September 30.

The billing of consumed electricity is applied for each billing period based on the data read by the electricity meter and collected by the Supplier or System Operator. The Supplier is obliged to send to the Customer the monthly bill which will contain the details of the consumption, the prices, as well as the terms and conditions of the payment.

The electricity tariff structure for household customers is comprised of the following components:

  • A1 –represents the state of electricity consumption at high tariff (day) - HT;
  • A2 –represents the state of electricity consumption at low tariff (night)- LT;
  • Electricity prices for high and low tariffs;
  • Fixed Tariff
