Eleventh (XIth) Session of ERO Board in 2025

On 18.12.2025, the Board of the Energy Regulatory Office held its eleventh (XI) session for 2025.

In this session, the Board reviewed and approved the Rule on the Renewable Energy Support Mechanism.

The ERO Board, after analyzing the Supreme Court Judgment P.A.no.18/2025, finds that Article 8 of the Electricity Market Liberalization Guidelines of 2017 and Article 2 of the amendments and supplements to this Guideline of 2018-2019, are repealed according to the Court’s Judgment and are not part of the legal order. This decision of the ERO Board is taken for the purpose of institutional clarification and legal transparency. This decision is declaratory and ascertainable and does not create, change or abolish new rights or obligations for customers in the market. Therefore, the process of liberalizing the electricity market continues, in addition to the validity of existing customer contracts in the open market, which continue to remain in force.

Regarding the production of electricity from Renewable Energy Sources, the application of the company Eco Park Group LLC for the activity of producing electricity from solar-photovoltaic panels and the application for issuing an authorization for the legal entity Diobes Solar LLC were reviewed and approved. The requests of twenty-four (24) legal entities and twenty (20) natural persons for obtaining an authorization for self-consumption, with a total installed capacity of 2156 kW, were also reviewed and approved.

The Board also reviewed the Energy Regulatory Office's Integrity Plan, customer complaints and other issues related to the management and functioning of the Energy Regulatory Office.
