The Board of the Energy Regulatory Office (ERO) held an introductory meeting with the Deputy Ambassador of Germany to Kosovo, Mr. Christian Böttcher. The purpose of this meeting was to further strengthen the close cooperation between ERO and the German Embassy in Pristina.

During the meeting, recent developments in the energy sector were discussed, with a particular focus on the ongoing process of electricity market liberalization. The long-term benefits of this process for customers were emphasized, including increased efficiency, improved service quality, and the ability to choose suppliers. The discussion also highlighted the importance of market liberalization in attracting investments to the energy sector, which will contribute to the country’s sustainable economic and energy development.

ERO has consistently valued its cooperation with international organizations and Kosovo’s partner countries, emphasizing that Germany has contributed significantly to the development of the energy sector through technical assistance, expertise, and various projects. This meeting served as an opportunity to discuss further collaboration and enhance coordination in support of Kosovo’s sustainable energy development.
