On 8 October 2025, the Board of the Energy Regulatory Office (ERO) hosted representatives of a joint mission of the World Bank and the International Financial Corporation (IFC), who are staying in Pristina in the framework of the preparation of the Country Private Sector Diagnostic - CPSD.

During the meeting, the latest developments in the renewable energy sector were discussed, including the relevant legislation regulating renewable energy sources (RES) and the competences of ERO in the implementation of this legislation.

The parties also exchanged views on the opportunities for the advancement of renewable energy sources in Kosovo and the investments needed to promote the further development of this sector.

The meeting was held in the framework of the CPSD consultations, which aim to identify sectors with potential for private investment, employment and sustainable economic growth in Kosovo.
