Third (III) Session of ERO Board in 2026
On 22.04.2026, the Board of the Energy Regulatory Office held its third session for 2026. At this session, the Board reviewed and approved the following documents: Electricity Balance for 2026, Rules on Financial Compensation for Curtailment under Support Schemes, Rules on Guarantees of Origin, Five-Year Plan for the Development of the Transmission Network for the Period 2026-2030, Ten-Year Plan for the Development of the Transmission Network for the Period 2026-2035 and the Competition Assessment Report in the Energy Sector for the years 2024-2025. The Board also reviewed the Amendment of the Market Rules and the responses to the comments in the Monitoring Report of the HPP Ujmani. In this session, the proposal for the imposition of a public service obligation for the universal service of supply was also reviewed, in which case this obligation was assigned to KESCO for a period of 2 years, namely until 31 March 2026. The proposal/decision for the determination of the responsibilities of the Renewable Energy Operator was also reviewed.
Regarding the generation of energy from Renewable Energy Sources, the issuance of an authorization for the legal entity LE KOSOVO RENEWABLE ENERGY JSC was approved and 53 (fifty-three) requests for granting authorizations for self-consumption were also approved, namely 38 (thirty-eight) natural persons and 15 (fifteen) legal entities, with a total capacity of 2 MW.
During this session, consumer complaints and other issues related to the functioning of the Energy Regulatory Office were also reviewed.
